ncorporated in 1989 by its current managing director, Mr.Pornchai Pinvises, Agro-on (Thailand) Company Limited is a family owned enterprise. The company's first factory was opened that same year and is situated in the town of Samchuk (Central Thailand), a prime area for the cultivation of baby corn. Employing over 230 full-time workers, this plant has a production capacity of 10 tons (drain weight) per day, or over 3,600 tons per year.

In 1997, Agro-on expanded its production capacity with the construction of a second factory in Phayao, located in Northern Thailand. An area that is also favorable to baby corn farming. With a production capacity similar to that of its counterpart in Samchuk, Agro-on currently has a production capacity of more than 7,000 tons per year.
